1.6 Notice of Intent to Provide Human Sexuality Instruction<br />
For students enrolled in the middle school and high school ―Moving to Wellness‖ class, the curriculum<br />
includes a unit on reproductive health. This class is based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.<br />
Instruction for this unit will be provided by FW<strong>ISD</strong> certified health teachers. These teachers have been<br />
provided specific training to ensure that the personal matter of human sexuality be addressed in a<br />
professional and sensitive manner. The letters and forms listed below are located in the forms section and<br />
must be sent home before school so that the parent, if they wish, may request their child be excused from<br />
health classes during this unit.<br />

The student will receive an alternative lesson or activity and will be placed in a different location than the<br />

1.7 Campus Emergency Preparedness<br />
Each instructional facility will have a written Campus Emergency Operations Plan prior to the opening of<br />
school. This plan will identify members of the Campus Emergency Response Team (CERT) and how the<br />
team members and other employees will respond to incidents or events that occur on their campus.<br />
Employees on the CERT are to be made aware of their involvement, given a copy of the written plan, and<br />
trained in their particular area of responsibility.<br />
