4.3.II Middle Schools<br />

The school day shall be seven (7) hours in length<br />
Young Women’s Leadership Academy 9:25 a.m. start time – 4:25 p.m. dismissal time<br />
As a requirement of the Texas Title I Priority Schools (TTIPS) Grant, the International<br />
Newcomer Academy serving both middle and high school aged students will have start and end<br />
times that differ from the schedule above:<br />
International Newcomer Academy<br />
All Students (middle and high) 7:30 a.m. start time – 2:50 p.m. dismissal time<br />
4.3.III High Schools<br />
The school day shall be seven (7) hours in length. Students in Grades 11 and 12 are required to<br />
enroll in a minimum of five (5) class periods in schools on a traditional schedule and six (6)<br />
classes {three classes each day} in schools on a block schedule. Note: A student must be enrolled<br />
for at least four (4) hours of daily instruction to be considered in membership for one (1) full<br />
day. (See 19 TAC§ 129.21[h]).<br />
