Health is, to every organized being, the condition
of perfect development; to every sentient being, the
condition of happiness.
Health, in a human being, is the perfection of
bodily organization, intellectual energy, and moral
power.
Health is the fullest expression of all the faculties
and passions of man, acting together in perfect har
mony.
Health is entire freedom from pain of body, and
discordance of mind.

When a man is perfect in his own nature, body, and
soul, perfect in their harmonious adaptations and action,
and living in perfect harmony with nature, with his fel
low-man, and with God, he may be said to be in a
state of health.
I am quite aware that I am constantly repeating my
self in these expressions. If the organs of the body
are all fully developed and in full action, they must ne
cessarily be in harmony ; and when a man is in har
mony in himself, he is of necessity in harmony with all
men, all nature, and with the Source of all things.
It is therefore necessary that every minute organ of
the body, every faculty
of the mind, every power of
the soul should be fully formed and active ; that, every
passion should have full sway— all balancing and har
monizing each other ; that man should act out all the
