This two-color subdial at 2:00 displays at a glance the time in the location of the traveler’s choice. At 9:00 lies yet another complication: a retrograde date display. A 48mm Zirconium King Power case houses this beauty, topped with a micro-blasted black ceramic bezel with molded black rubber, affixed with six black PVD-coated titanium H-shaped screws. The piece is powered by the HUB6121 movement, which beats at 21,600 vph and includes 278 jewels. Mp-02 With its spectacular new “Key of Time” tourbillon, Hublot achieves what everyone the world over has long wished for: the ability to slow down time in our happiest moments, or speed it up through our more trying ones. A three-position lever at 9:00 is the key to this extraordinary complication. When the lever is in position 1, the hands slow down, making a full conventional hour seem like just 15 minutes. In position 2, then hands move at their conventional rate, and in position three, time seems to speed up, racing through a full hour on the dial when just 15 minutes have gone by. When the wearer wishes to return to “real” time, the movement’s mechanical memory allows the hands to adjust automatically once the lever is returned to position 2. In addition to this exceptional complication, the Key of Time boasts a vertical flying tourbillon cage, with the added detail of a seconds indicator on its edge. Multi-Complications 125 •
