He offers only the most exceptional and intricate timepieces, achieved by relentlessly pushing the known limits of originality and mechanical complexity. The newest revelation of the prestigious Christophe Claret brand is the Adagio. The Adagio features an hour, quarter-hour and minute repeater on cathedral gongs, a grand date and a GMT with day and night indication. The mechanical hand-wound movement is made up of 455 components and 46 jewels, and has a 48-hour power reserve. The Adagio is available in 18K white gold, 18K rose gold and platinum. The timepiece will be created with dials featuring hand-guilloché, semi-precious stones (lapis lazuli, black onyx, ruby, jade and opal) and black rhodium-plated gold. Comprising 12 titanium blades, the diaphragm opens to reveal the movement as the mechanism chimes. The watch’s sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement of the three hammers (to strike the hours, quarter-hours, and minutes) on the gongs, as well as the movement’s signature decorative finishing. Originally released in a more sedate version, this model is now available in a spectacular diamond-set version, which features 154 baguette-cut diamonds (18 carats in total) on the bezel, case flanks and lugs.
