TOURBILLONs BVLGARI TOURBILLON CHRONO RATTRAPANTE – REF. BRRP46C14GLTBRA The Tourbillon Chrono Rattrapante, housed in a double-ellipse rose-gold case, proudly displays its regulating tourbillon between 11:00 and 12:00. The piece, powered by Calibre DR 8300, is equipped with a split-seconds chronograph function displayed by the two central seconds hands: the classic chronograph hand and the superimposed split-seconds hand. When the chronograph pushbutton is activated, the two hands begin running at the same time and are perfectly synchronized. Stopping and resetting brings them both to a halt and repositions them. The split-seconds function is separately activated when, once the central seconds hand has been started, the additional co-axial pushbutton on the crown is activated, thus stopping the split-seconds hand while the chronograph continues running. • 186 Grand Complications, Vol. VII
BVLGARI TOURBILLON LUMIERE – REF. BRRP44C11GLTBSK To perfect the Tourbillon Lumière, its designers had to pare down the structure of the Calibre DR 780 as much as possible, while maintaining its rigidity and load-bearing capacity. The goal has been fully met in a feather-light creation whose components are clothed in a double-ellipse rose-gold case. The plates, bridges and ratchet-wheel are meticulously openworked. Each of the parts is chamfered, hand-drawn and exquisitely chased. The dial merges into the movement and features a minimum of finely engraved metal serving to mark the hour circle on the front and the power reserve display on the back. The mainplate is barely 3.48mm thick, making this model one of the world’s thinnest tourbillon watches. Tourbillons 187 •
