MOONPHASES JAEGER-LeCOULTRE DUOMETRE A QUANTIEME LUNAIRE – REF. 604.24.20 The partially openworked dial of the Duomètre à Quantième Lunaire allows a peek at its exceptional manual-winding Jaeger-LeCoultre 381 caliber, which comprises 369 components and provides 50 hours of power reserve. Hours and minutes are displayed in a subdial at 2:30, and jumping seconds complete the time indication. A subdial at 9:30 indicates the date, as well as the moonphase in the North and South Hemispheres. The 42mm pink-gold case reveals the movement through a sapphire crystal caseback and is water resistant to 50m. G0A34022 This model is a paragon of purity and understatement, featuring a generous 46.5mm case with an original and attractive moonphase display at 6:00. With its broad opening measuring 12mm in diameter, this large moon reveals a wealth of subtle craftsmanship exercised on a heated gold plate featuring reflections symbolizing moon craters. The moonphase indication is provided by a mobile mask that gradually uncovers the white-gold moon disc, before covering it up again. This complication beats to the rhythm of the new Calibre 860P, a self-winding movement. In addition to its approximately 72-hour power reserve, it features Piaget’s signature finishes such as circular Côtes de Genève motifs, a circular-grained mainplate, beveled bridges, and blued screws.
