Glashütte original, a swatch Group company, wowed
observers at BaselWorld 2010 with its senator Diary,
the first watch in the world that allows the wearer to set the
alarm 30 days in advance. A pusher at 8 o’clock allows the
wearer to select the desired setting, with “d” for the date,
“h” for the hour and a drawing of a clock to activate the
striking mechanism, all in a window at 10 o’clock. once the
choice is made, the crown at 10 o’clock can activate the
red pointer that indicates the date of the alarm in a subdial,
or the window at 6 o’clock indicating the time of the alarm,
in 15-minute increments from 12:15 am to midnight.
