TOURBILLONS RICHARD MILLE RM 017 EXTRA FLAT TOURBILLON A world premiere for 2011, with a total thickness comprising a mere 8.7mm, the new RM017 with its manual-winding movement with circa 70 hours power reserve is amongst the thinnest tourbillon constructions ever created. RICHARD MILLE RM 020 TOURBILLON POCKET WATCH This manual-winding tourbillon pocket-watch is the first built using a baseplate structure created from carbon nanofiber, completely befitting the first radically new tourbillon pocket-watch design of the 21st century. It provides hours, minutes, power reserve indicator (circa 10 days of power via a double barrel system), and function indicator for winding, neutral, and handsetting operations. The PVD-treated variable inertia, free-sprung balance wheel with overcoil spring with Zircon endstones for the tourbillon cage provides optimal chronometric results and excellent long-term wear. It is supplied with a titanium watch chain comprising a new design of fast release/attach mechanism, and in the tradition of fine pocket-watches of the past, it can also function as a pendulette de bureau with its specially designed stand. The chain, clasp, crown cover and stand require 189 component parts and 580 separate finishing and control operations. Tourbillons 229 •
