CHRONOGRAPHS, SPLit-SECONdS ANd FLybACk CHRONOGRAPHS tAG HEUER 1911: tHE tiME OF tRiP This is the first dashboard chronograph, patented by Heuer in 1911, designed for aircraft and automobiles. With an 11cm diameter, it fits into all types of dashboards. The large hand at the center of the dial indicates the hour. The pair of small hands located at 12:00 gives the duration of the trip not exceeding 12 hours. The same pushpiece starts, stops and resets the watch to zero.
