LANGE & SÖHNE LANGE ZEITWERK STRIKING TIME – REF. 145.029 The most recent addition to the Lange Zeitwerk family is endowed with a chiming mechanism that is visible on its dial. The Lange Zeitwerk Striking Time is the first Lange wristwatch with an acoustic signature. It strikes the quarter-hours with high-pitched tones and the full hours at a lower pitch. The chiming mechanism consists of two black polished steel hammers that are integrated in the dial layout on either side of the subsidiary seconds. The manually wound L043.2 caliber is crafted to the most exacting Lange quality standards and largely decorated and assembled by hand. The sonorous timepiece comes in a 44.2mm white-gold case with a black dial or in a limited edition of 100 pieces with platinum cases and rhodium-plated dials. • 430 Grand Complications, Vol. VII

Its titanium oval case provides an atypical setting for a truly magnificent sight featuring offset gold subdials. The AP escapement and the double balance-spring, as well as the hammers and the striking gongs, all become key players in a truly three-dimensional creation. Conceived, developed and produced by Audemars Piguet, the new hand-wound 2910 caliber driving the Millenary Minute Repeater is also distinguished by the atypical construction of the regulating organ. The oval Millenary case in brushed titanium—a material featuring exceptional acoustic qualities—is framed by a polished titanium bezel. The various organs within are barely concealed by the anthracite gray hours and minutes subdial offset at 3:00, and by the small seconds at 7:00. Limited edition of eight pieces.
