The second fac<strong>to</strong>r of satisfaction with <strong>the</strong> program reflects opinions about <strong>the</strong><br />

coursework load. Agreement with <strong>the</strong> individual statements contributing <strong>to</strong> this fac<strong>to</strong>r<br />

indicated dissatisfaction, while disagreement indicated satisfaction 32 ; some of <strong>the</strong>se items<br />

are illustrated in Table IIE-2. For example, few students agree that <strong>Rowan</strong> classes are <strong>to</strong>o<br />

large (<strong>the</strong> largest classes are capped at 35), but a third agree that <strong>the</strong> pace is <strong>to</strong>o fast, and<br />

nearly half find <strong>the</strong> workload <strong>to</strong>o heavy and difficult. Unlike satisfaction with <strong>the</strong><br />

programmatic structure, satisfaction with <strong>the</strong> coursework load is lower in <strong>the</strong> sophomore<br />

and junior years (when many of <strong>the</strong> faculty claim <strong>the</strong> load is in fact most difficult).<br />
