As shown by the squares of the multiple correlations (resulting from these multiple regression analyses), we see that the background variables, taken all together, actually explain little about the satisfaction of the students with the program applications (Table IIE-10). Less than 5% of the satisfaction with teamwork or engineering clinic and only 9% of the variation in satisfaction with lab work is related to IIE-173
