It should be noted that <strong>the</strong>se findings lend mild support <strong>to</strong> those of Felder et. al.<br />

(1995), who, in <strong>the</strong>ir longitudinal study of cooperative learning among engineering<br />

students, found that females became less enamored with group work as time went on. In<br />

our sample, <strong>the</strong> level of satisfaction with teamwork is lower for each successive year, but<br />

<strong>the</strong> differences are quite small.<br />

c. SATCLINIC<br />

Gender differences in satisfaction with <strong>the</strong> clinic system are mainly among first-<br />

year students (Figure IIE-5). The greater satisfaction of females with <strong>the</strong> clinic system is<br />

considerably less among sophomores and practically nonexistent among juniors and<br />

seniors. Among females, satisfaction with clinic is lowest for juniors, and considerably<br />
