higher among seniors. For both males and females, seniors express <strong>the</strong> most satisfaction<br />

with <strong>the</strong> clinic system.<br />

Summarizing our findings about <strong>the</strong> gender differences in satisfaction with<br />

applied aspects of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Rowan</strong> program over <strong>the</strong> different years of <strong>the</strong> program, we found<br />

that gender differences in satisfaction exist even after we control for year, and quite a bit<br />

of variation is found in those gender differences over <strong>the</strong> years. While <strong>the</strong> patterns of<br />

difference vary over <strong>the</strong> three fac<strong>to</strong>rs, this much <strong>the</strong>y have in common: for all three<br />

indica<strong>to</strong>rs, <strong>the</strong> gender differences are greater among lower division students, and least<br />

among senior students. However, <strong>the</strong> fluctuation of satisfaction is quite considerable for<br />

females when it comes <strong>to</strong> lab work, and for males when it comes <strong>to</strong> team and clinic work.<br />
