Renewable Energy Demonstration Project<br />

The DC Reliable Energy Trust Fund has allotted $320,000 in annual funding for<br />
renewable energy projects within the city for the 2006 request for proposals. Eligible<br />
technologies include fuel cells, photovoltaics, wind, biomass and hydro power.<br />
Recipients may apply for funding up to 50% of the cost to implement a project that<br />
produces electricity, using a renewable source of fuel. A third round of funding was<br />
made available for 2007.<br />
