The temple and the mosque are the same; the Hindu worship and the<br />

Musalman prayer are the same; all men are the same; it is through<br />

error they appear different. Allah and Abhekh are the same; the Purans<br />

and the Quran are the same; they are all alike; it is the one God who<br />

What is a Hindu or a Musalman to him<br />

From whose heart doubt departeth?<br />

The Muhammadans use tasbis, the Hindus malas:<br />

The former read the Quran and the latter the Purans,<br />

Fools have died over the discussion;<br />

They were not imbued with God’s deep love. (Macauliffe, V, p. 308)<br />

He whose doubt hath departed; for him there is no difference<br />

between Hindu and Turk.<br />

3. Scriptural Authority<br />

Beyond the ken of the Vedas and the Semitic Texts,<br />

Yea, the whole world is He.<br />

Entanglements are Veds, religious discussions, and pride.<br />

Of no avail to Brahma was the study of the Vedas, for perfound<br />

not the True Worth of the Lord.<br />

Many Shastras I searched through and Smritis too,<br />

They equal not the Name of the Lord, for,<br />
