TO ENCOURAGE SALES!
Consumers of small electrical appliances can sometimes feel lost amongst
the shelves of a shop! Helping them to find their way, make their choice
and their purchase is the role of category management.
In Russia, the Group has set up an innovative approach at two major retail
customers in the linen care section. The aim is to support consumers
in the purchasing process by:
• Adapting shelf displays based on studies of purchaser behaviour;
• Shelf merchandising: Explanatory videos and text, interactive touch screens,
demonstrations, original end-aisle displays;
• Free access to products displayed and sufficient stocks.

pEsiNEt: morE thaN just aid,
it's rEal tEamwork
The Pesinet association has set itself the task of reducing
infant mortality rates in Sub-Saharan Africa. Since 2008,
it has been providing regular medical care for low-income
families in Mali and their children aged 0-5, in particular
regarding their weight evolution. Care workers use Tefal
infant weighing scales to weigh children at home. Light
and easy to use, these scales have turned out to be very
well suited to travelling, but less suited to the situation in
the field (dust, transport etc.). Tefal teams are working
alongside Pesinet to develop a device that provides better
protection for the sensors in the scales. Groupe SEB Foundation
is financing the design, the initiation of local
manufacturing and is committed to supplying the scales
to the NGO free of charge for five years.

The subsidiary has set up brand new publicity and merchandising materials
at three of its major specialist retailers to gain in-store visibility.
These are real "shops-in-shops" with dedicated displays, promoting Krups
machines, their accessories and the wide variety of capsules available.
