361 Research in Developmental Psychology (4 credits) Survey<br />
research in the development <strong>of</strong> attachment, identity and morality.<br />
Prerequisites: at least a C in Psyc 290 and 291 and at least a C+ in Psyc<br />

362 Research in Clinical Psychology (4 credits) Principles and<br />
procedures <strong>of</strong> psychological testing. The following tests will be covered in<br />
depth: MMPI-2, Rorschach, TAT, CPI, Myers-Briggs, intelligence tests,<br />
and neuropsychological assessment. Prerequisites: at least a C in 290 and<br />
291 and at least a C+ in either Psyc 302 or 306. (SBA)<br />
363 Research in Social Psychology (4 credits) Experimental research<br />
(including field studies) in social cognition and social influence will be<br />
conducted. Prerequisites: at least a C in Psyc 290 and 291 and at least a<br />

364 Research in Cognitive Psychology (4 credits) Experimental research in<br />
cognition will be conducted. Students will learn to program original experiments<br />
on psychology-experiment s<strong>of</strong>tware and learn advanced SPSS statistical analyses.<br />
Prerequisites: at least a C in Psyc 290 and 291, and at least a C+ in Psyc 304.<br />

365 Research in Biopsychology (4 credits) Acquisition <strong>of</strong><br />
neuroscience techniques and application <strong>of</strong> biopsychology concepts.<br />
Students will learn to design, conduct, and analyze biopsychology<br />
experiments; dissect tissues <strong>of</strong> the nervous system; learn basic<br />
neurosurgery techniques; learn histology and microscopy techniques.<br />
Prerequisites: at least a C in Psyc 290 and 291 and at least a C+ in Psyc<br />

366 Research in Learning (4 credits) This course will begin with a<br />
survey <strong>of</strong> basic principles <strong>of</strong> learning, addressing issues such as the<br />
conditions necessary for learning to occur. We will then examine a few<br />
theories <strong>of</strong> learning in detail and design and conduct animal experiments<br />
to test predictions derived from some <strong>of</strong> these theories. Prerequisites: at<br />
least a C in Psyc 290 and 291. (SBA)<br />
367 Research in I-O Psychology (4 credits) Research and theory in<br />
industrial-organizational psychology; design and execution <strong>of</strong><br />
experiments. Prerequisite: at least a C in Psyc 290 and 291 and at least a<br />

Special Topics Courses in Psychology<br />
331 Developmental Disabilities (3 credits) Introduction to the<br />
psychology <strong>of</strong> those with sub-average intellectual functioning and deficits<br />
in adaptive behavior which were manifested during the developmental<br />
period. Topics include definitions, assessment, causes, treatment,<br />
normalization, legal rights, behavior management, sexuality, and working<br />
with families. In addition, students will intern in various community sites<br />
that work with the developmentally disabled. Prerequisites: 110 and 111<br />
(with at least a B- in either). (SBA)<br />
332 Counseling Psychology (3 credits) Introduction to specific<br />
techniques used in counseling such as rational emotive counseling,<br />
behavioral counseling and client-centered counseling. In addition,<br />
students observe and counsel in various community sites including<br />
nursing homes, the Job Corps and mental health clinics. Prerequisites:<br />
