VIII Group 17 (halogen) compounds and complexes
re-evaluated to derive selected enthalpy values for the Reactions ((VIII.10), q = 1, 2).
The details of the re-evaluation are provided in Appendix A. The recalculated enthalpy
values were extrapolated to zero ionic strength using the SIT model.
The weighted linear regression of the four data points measured in perchloric
acid solutions at 25 °C (Figure VIII-22), resulted in
Δ H ((VIII.10), q = 1, 298.15 K) = (12.7 ± 2.3) kJ·mol –1
r
m
and Δε L ((VIII.10), q = 1) = (1.9 ± 1.0) × 10 –3 kg·mol –1 .
