Evacuation and Reentry Management (EM09) Medium Priority This market package supports evacuation of the general public from a disaster area and manages subsequent reentry to the disaster area. The market package addresses evacuations for all types of disasters, including disasters like hurricanes that are anticipated and occur slowly, allowing a wellplanned orderly evacuation, as well as disasters like terrorist acts that occur rapidly, without warning, and allow little or no time for preparation or public warning. Road Weather Data Collection (MC03) Medium Priority This market package collects current road and weather conditions using data collected from environmental sensors deployed on and about the roadway (or guideway in the case of transit related rail systems). In addition to fixed sensor stations at the roadside, sensing of the roadway environment can also occur from sensor systems located on Maintenance and Construction Vehicles and onboard sensors provided by auto manufacturers. The collected environmental data is used by the Weather Information Processing and Distribution Market Package to process the information and make decisions on operations.
