For services, Cleaner Production implies incorporating environmental
concerns into the design and delivery of services.
The design of a service is crucial: not just, “Are we doing things right?” but
rather, “Are we doing the right things?” and, “Are we doing them the right
way?”
The above three slides reinforce the message that CP is applicable not just to
production processes, but also to products and services. It could be mentioned
that CP has been used successfully in product design and in the service sector
(e.g. hotels and tourism, municipal management and hospitals).
