JEBRIX

A powerful minotaur cleric dedicated to Erythnul, the deity of
slaughter, Jebrix is a creature without morals or conscience. As
Emmara’s battle champion, he revels in the death and suffering

he wreaks in her name. Jebrix leads a small band of berserkers
who serve as her personal guard and shock troops.
GOALS
Emmara is not a worshiper of Erythnul, but Jebrix is loyal to
her because she seems to abide by the deity’s tenets zealously.
As long as she continues to serve the God of Slaughter, whether
intentionally or unwittingly, Jebrix will follow her.
The minotaur dislikes Farror, knowing instinctively that
the erinyes is not truly sworn to Emmara. In fact, he views
the arrogant devil as a threat to his mistress and to himself.
Although Jebrix does not have the intelligence to actively plot
against Farror, he does not help the erinyes in battle unless
explicitly ordered to do so by Emmara.
USING JEBRIX
As Emmara’s bodyguard, Jebrix normally stays close by her.
If the PCs invade the Soth Tarnel, they almost certainly run
afoul of him and the two minotaur guards under his command
(see tactical encounter 6–2, page 106).
On occasion, however, Jebrix leaves the tower to lead
attacks against particularly reviled foes of his mistress. The
PCs could encounter him as they guard one such individual.
Alternatively, Jebrix and his raging minions could attack the
PCs as they camp in the wilderness.
Appearance and Behavior
Tall and massively muscled, Jebrix looks like a human covered
in thick fur, and he has the head of an enormous bull. One
of his ears has been chewed off, and his black, almost lifeless
eyes gleam with hate. He dyes his fur deep red in homage to
his deity, and his jet black +2 full plate is splattered with the
dried blood of his victims.
Jebrix is a simple, unimaginative creature, overwhelmingly
committed to the tenets of Erythnul. He lives to spread the
suffering and evil demanded by his lord. The screams of the
dying and the hot splash of a foe’s blood on his fur excite him
beyond all reason.
Jebrix uses his cleric powers to heal his companions as
needed or raise them from the dead. These actions are not
signs of compassion on his part; rather, he views his fellow
minotaurs as vital tools in his mission to spread the dogma
of Erythnul throughout the world.
He has little need for gold, treasure, or other material goods.
The only items he covets are those that help him slaughter
the innocent and the helpless. Jebrix exhibits little initiative,
preferring to leave strategy to Emmara. Once given orders,
however, he follows them with a single-minded purpose that
borders on the fanatical.
