Project Sub-stages Activities to be Undertaken D2 D3 Decommissioning Redevelopment Purpose: To undertake studies to confirm that the wind farm can be decommissioned in accordance with any planning permit conditions, and to decommission the wind farm. Activity: The development of Decommissioning and Site Rehabilitation Plans. These should be developed in accordance with the any planning permit conditions, but also require modification to accommodate any changes to the local environment, land use and infrastructure. The works should involve monitoring by the appropriate specialist technical consultants. Consultation: Stakeholder input should be sought. Purpose: To undertake the necessary studies required to submit a new project for a new planning application (feeding back into the process at substage PA1. Activity: Submission of a new planning application in accordance with these guidelines for any proposed redevelopment of the wind farm site. Consultation: Stakeholder input should be sought. Redevelopment (D3) Redevelopment of the site, or repowering, will require new approval processes. Essentially these Guidelines should be reapplied with particular consideration given to any regulatory changes that have occurred in the meantime.
