Overhead Panel:<br />

Bus tie switch<br />

AUTO Enables system logic to<br />

operate the respective<br />

BTB and DCIR.<br />

blank Opens the BTB and<br />

DCIR, and resets the<br />

fault trip logic.<br />

ISLN<br />

LIGHT<br />

The BTB is open and<br />

the AC bus is isolated<br />

from the synchronous<br />

bus (automatic isolation<br />

during autoland will not<br />

illuminate the light).<br />

Drive disconnect switch (guarded and wired)<br />

(In the simulator, the guard can be rewired<br />

on Instructor > Situation > Service with the<br />

button Rewire switchguards.)<br />

Push (momentary action) Disconnects the<br />

IDG’s mechanical drive shaft from the<br />

engine gearbox. It is reconnectable only<br />

by maintenance on the ground (in the<br />

simulator reconnectable on Instructor<br />

> Situation > Malfunctions > General<br />

under Reset: Malfunctions).<br />

DRIVE<br />

LIGHT<br />

Oil pressure or oil temperature in drive<br />

is not in normal range.<br />

Generator control switch<br />

ON Closes the respective<br />

IDG generator field and<br />

enables system logic to<br />

operate the GCB.<br />

blank Opens the generator<br />

field and GCB, and<br />

resets the fault trip<br />

logic.<br />

OFF<br />

LIGHT<br />

The GCB is open and<br />

IDG power is removed<br />

from the AC bus.<br />
