……………………………………………Ed.D., Educational Administration……………………………………………The Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling offers a program concentration leading to the Doctor of EducationDegree in Educational Administration.Educational Administration encompasses knowledge and skills from entities which either provide, regulate, or affect theformalized educational efforts of society. Thus, innovative, flexible approaches utilizing courses, seminars, field experiences,research projects, and other educational media are used to provide the technical, conceptual, and human skillsrequired of educational leaders.Under the direction of the student’s doctoral advisory committee, course plans are developed to meet individual needs,backgrounds, and future goals of each student.GENERAL REQUIREMENTSIn addition to meeting the requirements for the Doctor of Education Degree as set forth in this bulletin, students majoringin Educational Administration shall:1. Submit an application for admissions to the department program on forms provided by the GraduateSchool.2. Meet the requirements of the Department’s Doctoral Screening Committee.3. Organize, with the approval of the Department Chairperson, a doctoral committee foe advisement. Thechairperson shall be from the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling.4. File an approved course plan with the Chairman of the doctoral committee and the Graduate School Office.5.
