OUTPUT CommandDescriptionThe OUTPUT command instructs <strong>NetEx</strong>/eFT to capture all of its standard output to a file on the local host.OUTPUT gives the user the capability of saving the output of a local or remote command execution to a fileon the local host.FormatCommand Qualifier ParameterOUTput[-COLumns integer][destination][-CREate | APPend |]| DELETE || NEW || REPlace |[-FORmat string][-HOLD | ON |]| OFF |[-LINes integer][-PREFix string][-QUIet | OFF |]| ON |[-TRUNcate | OFF |]| ON |[-UNIT string][-VOLUME string]Where:OUTput-COLumns-CREate-FORmat-HOLD-LINes-PREFix(required) the verb for this command. The minimum spelling is OUT.(optional) the maximum number of columns per terminal page of output. This represents themaximum number of characters across a page or terminal screen. For z/OS, the default isyour terminal line size minus 2. The minimum spelling is -COL.(optional) describes how to create the output file on the local system. The valid values areAPPend, DELete, NEW, and REPLace. The default is REPLACE. Refer to “IBM z/OS FileTransfer Qualifiers and Default Values” on page 47 for more information on CREATE qualifiervalues. The minimum spelling is -CRE. When TAPE is specified and a -volser is specifiedthen -create replace must be specified. Otherwise, when a -volser is not specified then -create new, replace, or delete can be specified.(optional) all <strong>NetEx</strong>/eFT messages are displayed using the format string defined by this qualifier.The ‘msg()’ string function is used to construct an appropriate format for <strong>NetEx</strong>/eFTmessages. The minimum spelling is -FOR.(optional) suspends scrolling of the output from a command or input file. The number oflines that scroll by before the output is suspended is specified by the LINES qualifier.(optional) the maximum number of lines per terminal page of output. The minimum spellingis -LIN. For z/OS, the default is the number of lines on your terminal.(optional) the prefix string displayed before each line of <strong>NetEx</strong>/eFT output. The default iseFT:.
