OPEN Alias CommandDescriptionThe OPEN alias command is used to establish a connection to a remote host on the network. The host namespecified must exist in the local TCP/IP “hosts” database (either in the local hosts file, or accessible throughDNS). The OPEN alias command issues the <strong>NetEx</strong>/eFT CONNECT command to establish the connection.Refer to the “CONNECT Command” on page 118 for a description of CONNECT processing.FormatCommand Qualifiers ParametersOPEN[host] [username] [password]Where:OPENhostusernamepasswordExamples(required) the verb for this command. The minimum spelling is OPEN.(required) the name of the remote host computer to which the connection should be established(required) the name of the user to use for the login on the remote host computer.
