Schedule 1 The <strong>Criminal</strong> <strong>Code</strong>Part 4 <strong>Act</strong>s injurious to the public in generalChapter 22 Offences against morality[s 218](2) In this section—procure means knowingly entice or recruit for the purposes ofsexual exploitation.218 Procuring sexual acts by coercion etc.(1) A person who—(a) by threats or intimidation of any kind, procures a personto engage in a sexual act, either in <strong>Queensland</strong> orelsewhere; or(b) by a false pretence, procures a person to engage in asexual act, either in <strong>Queensland</strong> or elsewhere; or(c) administers to a person, or causes a person to take, adrug or other thing with intent to stupefy or overpowerthe person to enable a sexual act to be engaged in withthe person;commits a crime.Maximum penalty—imprisonment for 14 years.(2) For subsection (1), a person engages in a sexual act if theperson—(a) allows a sexual act to be done to the person’s body; or(b) does a sexual act to the person’s own body or the bodyof another person; or(c) otherwise engages in an act of an indecent nature withanother person.(3) Subsection (2) is not limited to sexual intercourse or actsinvolving physical contact.(4) In this section—procure means knowingly entice or recruit for the purposes ofsexual exploitation.Page 124 Current as at 1 December 2014
