Schedule 1 The <strong>Criminal</strong> <strong>Code</strong>Part 8 ProcedureChapter 71 Miscellaneous provisions[s 707]legal services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanderpeople.relevant law means any of the following—(a) any law that includes provisions relating to criminalprocedure, including in particular this <strong>Code</strong> and theJustices <strong>Act</strong> 1886;(b) any other law that operates in conjunction with, orwhose operation is otherwise associated with, theoperation of a law mentioned in paragraph (a);(c) practice directions relating to criminal practice andprocedure for the purposes of the operation of a lawmentioned in paragraph (a).707 Forms of criminal proceedingsA form prescribed under a rule of court for a criminalproceeding is taken to be—(a) sufficient for the purpose for which it is to be used; and(b) if used, a sufficient statement of the relevant offence ormatter.708 Regulation-making powerThe Governor in Council may make regulations under this<strong>Code</strong>.708ACriteria for recommending an entity be declared acriminal organisation(1) In deciding whether to recommend an amendment of the<strong>Criminal</strong> <strong>Code</strong> (<strong>Criminal</strong> Organisations) Regulation 2013 todeclare an entity to be a criminal organisation, the Ministermay have regard to the following matters—(a) any information suggesting a link exists between theentity and serious criminal activity;Current as at 1 December 2014 Page 469
