<strong>Criminal</strong> <strong>Code</strong> <strong>Act</strong> <strong>1899</strong>[s 3](b)(c)(d)(e)other statute, or of any other part of the same statute,whether as regards the past or the future;when any enactment not mentioned in the schedules hasbeen repealed, confirmed, revived, or perpetuated, byany enactment hereby repealed, such repeal,confirmation, reviver, or perpetuation, shall not beaffected by the repeal effected by this <strong>Act</strong>;this <strong>Act</strong> shall not affect the validity, invalidity, effect, orconsequences, of anything already done or suffered, orany existing status or capacity, or any right, title,obligation, or liability, civil or criminal, alreadyacquired, accrued, or incurred, or any remedy orproceeding in respect thereof, or any release ordischarge of or from any debt, penalty, obligation,liability, claim, or demand, or any indemnity, or theproof of any past act or thing; and any action,prosecution, or other proceeding, begun before thecoming into operation of the <strong>Code</strong>, may, subject to theprovisions of the <strong>Code</strong>, be continued as if this <strong>Act</strong> hadnot been passed; and any action, prosecution, or otherproceeding, in respect of anything done or omitted to bedone before the coming into operation of the <strong>Code</strong>, may,subject to the provisions of the <strong>Code</strong>, be brought, taken,and prosecuted, in the same manner as if this <strong>Act</strong> hadnot been passed;this <strong>Act</strong> shall not, except as expressly therein declared,affect any principle or rule of law or equity, orestablished jurisdiction, or form or course of pleading,practice, or procedure, notwithstanding that the samerespectively may have been in any manner affirmed,recognised or derived, by, in, or from, any enactmenthereby repealed;this <strong>Act</strong> shall not revive or restore any jurisdiction, duty,liability, right, title, privilege, restriction, exemption,usage, practice, procedure, form of punishment, or othermatter or thing, not now existing or in force.Page 28 Current as at 1 December 2014
