Schedule 1 The <strong>Criminal</strong> <strong>Code</strong>Part 8 ProcedureChapter 71 Miscellaneous provisions[s 706A](a) any power of a court, including any inherent power, togive a direction or make an order in a particular case, orgenerally; or(b) the judicial independence of any court or judicial officer.(2) However, a practice direction may be made to give effect to anadministrative arrangement.(3) In this section—administrative arrangement means an arrangement enteredinto between 2 or more relevant agencies for the developmentof compatible business and operating processes to facilitatethe efficient and timely resolution of proceedings underrelevant laws.relevant agency means any of the following—(a) the chief executive;(b) the chief executive (corrective services);(c) the chief executive of the department in which the YouthJustice <strong>Act</strong> 1992 is administered;(d) the commissioner of the police service;(e) the director of public prosecutions;(f) the Chief Magistrate under the Magistrates <strong>Act</strong> 1991;(g) the Chief Judge of the District Court of <strong>Queensland</strong>under the District Court of <strong>Queensland</strong> <strong>Act</strong> 1967;(h) the Chief Justice of <strong>Queensland</strong>;(i) the chief executive officer, Legal Aid <strong>Queensland</strong>;(j) the president of the <strong>Queensland</strong> Law SocietyIncorporated;(k) the president of the Bar Association of <strong>Queensland</strong>;(l) if nominated by the chief executive—the chief executiveofficer of a publicly funded, non-profit corporationwhose primary purpose as a corporation is to providePage 468 Current as at 1 December 2014
