Applies to persons who are known to have left the jurisdiction withoutauthorization or who have not personally contacted their community supervision <strong>of</strong>ficer (CSO)within three months or (90) days, AND either:• have an active Motion to Revoke (MTR) or Motion to Adjudicate Probation filed and anunserved capias for his/her arrest; or• have been arrested on an MTR or Motion to Adjudicate Probation, but have failed toappear for the MTR hearing and a bond forfeiture warrant has been issued by the court.Other <strong>of</strong>fenders who have not reported to their CSO within 90 days should be reported as“Indirect, Incarcerated in County Jail” (Item I.B.5.a.) or as “Other Indirect” (Item I.B.6.)This includes the following:• Offenders in County Jail who have been arrested on an MTR or Motion to AdjudicateProbation and are awaiting hearing (report as “Incarcerated in County Jail”);• Offenders not in County Jail who have been arrested on an MTR or Motion to AdjudicateProbation and are awaiting hearing (report as “Other Indirect”); and• Offenders for whom an MTR or Motion to Adjudicate Probation has not been filed(report as “Other Indirect”).a. New to Absconder/Fugitive Status. Of the persons in Item B.3., indicate the number declaredabsconders/fugitives this month.4. Report by Mail. Applies to probationers who report only by mail to your county and who are notbeing directly supervised by another county. Do not include individuals when a transfer out <strong>of</strong> thecounty has been initiated.5. Inactive Indirects Due to Incarceration (B.5. = B.5.a. + B.5.b. + B.5.c. + B.5.d.). Applies topersons on INDIRECT status who have at least one case for which the individual is not receivingdirect supervision due to incarceration. This applies to individuals incarcerated in a county jail, statejail, state prison, state boot camp, or Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Facility (SAFPF), eitheras a condition <strong>of</strong> community supervision or as a result <strong>of</strong> a separate case and who have a communitysupervision sentence to complete once they are released. Individuals in county jail, a <strong>TDCJ</strong> contractISF facility, or SAFPF eligible for direct supervision should not be counted in this section. See<strong>CJAD</strong>-PS-02.When an individual is sentenced to incarceration but is awaiting transportation in a county jail, theindividual should be reported based on his / her ultimate destination. For example, if a felon isrevoked and sentenced to <strong>TDCJ</strong>-ID with another community supervision case still open and isawaiting transport in a county jail, the felon should be reported as Revoked to <strong>TDCJ</strong>-ID (SectionII.B.1.e.1.) and Inactive Indirect, Sentenced to <strong>TDCJ</strong>-ID (Section I.B.5.b).a. Sentenced to County Jail. Applies to persons who are incarcerated in a county jail as acondition <strong>of</strong> community supervision or as a result <strong>of</strong> a separate case, but have a communitysupervision sentence to complete once they are released. Exclude <strong>of</strong>fenders in county jail whohave been ordered to SAFPF and are awaiting SAFPF placement.b. Sentenced to <strong>TDCJ</strong>-ID. Applies to persons who are serving a prison term but have acommunity supervision sentence to complete upon release.c. Serving time in a Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Facility (SAFPF). Applies to personswho have been placed in a SAFPF <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Criminal</strong> <strong>Justice</strong> and are nolonger receiving direct supervision. Individuals may be placed in a SAFPF as a condition <strong>of</strong>community supervision or as a result <strong>of</strong> a separate case, but have a community supervisionsentence to complete once they are released. Offenders (not directly supervised) in county jailwho are awaiting placement into SAFPF should be counted in this category, NOT Sentenced to- 14 ­
