Appendix B: Program CodesProgram codes are assigned through the Community <strong>Justice</strong> Plan (CJP) process and are theprimary method <strong>TDCJ</strong>-<strong>CJAD</strong> uses to identify programs in its computer databases. <strong>TDCJ</strong>-<strong>CJAD</strong>uses these codes to identify and track similar programs based on the types <strong>of</strong> services provided to<strong>of</strong>fenders. Used in combination with program designators and program id numbers, these codespermit <strong>TDCJ</strong>-<strong>CJAD</strong> to identify specific programs operated by a CSCD using state funding.A list <strong>of</strong> acceptable program codes will be distributed prior to each biennium with theCommunity <strong>Justice</strong> Plan proposal instructions to assist CSCDs in completing the coversheet.Once all grant funding decisions have been made by <strong>TDCJ</strong>-<strong>CJAD</strong>, the Research and EvaluationSection will provide each CSCD director with information regarding which programs must bereported and the correct program code and designator for reporting data.
