OverviewTDCJ-CJAD requires Community Supervision and Corrections Departments (CSCDs) to submitdata to address legislative and agency accountability requirements. These requirements includereporting: Performance measures established by the Legislature and reported to the LegislativeBudget Board Information required by Chapter 60 of the Code of Criminal Procedure associated withthe Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Data required for determining allocation of funding to departments for Basic Supervisionand Community Corrections line items Monitoring and accountability for funds allocated by TDCJ-CJAD to CSCDs Evaluating programs to assist in effective allocation of funding based on performanceTo address these data collection requirements, CSCDs submit data to TDCJ-CJAD through anumber of reports which are briefly described below:Monthly Community Supervision Caseload Report (MCSCR). The MCSCRis the primary data collection instrument for individual counties to report thenumber of probationers under supervision, placed on supervision, terminatingsupervision, and participating in selected programs. The MCSCR also requiresdepartments to indicate the number of paid CSCD staff within the county. TheMCSCR is a paper reporting system submitted monthly providing aggregate dataon probationersCommunity Supervision Tracking System (CSTS). The CSTS requiresdepartments to submit offender-based data on probationers under supervision,placed on supervision, and terminating supervision. CSTS data requirements alsoinclude reporting demographic, offense, and program participation data. TheCSTS satisfies requirements of Chapter 60 Code of Criminal Procedure, CriminalHistory Record System. CSTS data is submitted electronically at least monthly byCSCDs to TDCJ-CJAD.Actual Program Outputs (APO). Actual Program Outputs are submitted byCSCDs annually indicating the number of offenders participating in programsfunded by TDCJ-CJAD. Information is reported indicating the type of programoffenders participated in, the number of offenders placed in the program, thenumber and type of program discharges, and the number and types of servicesprovided. This information is submitted by data entry into the APO website.Caseload Report. The Caseload Report is submitted quarterly to monitor officercaseload size as required by an appropriation rider associated with additionalfunding provided by the legislature to reduce caseload size. The report requiresCSCDs to submit data on the number of regular and specialized officers employedby the department and the number of offenders supervised by each type of officer.This information is submitted by data entry into the Caseload report website.- 1
