Ituses ROSE encoding <strong>and</strong> object identifiers for its varioussupplementary services. While the identifiers can be coded fromst<strong>and</strong>ards produced by ISO, ECMA, or ETSI, the <strong>Intervoice</strong>implementation uses ETSI st<strong>and</strong>ards.The QSIG call control is defined in ETSI specifications EN 300 171 <strong>and</strong>EN 300 172. The switch type is defined in the configuration file, sincevarious switch vendors may vary in their methods of implementation.The Path Replacement type of call transfer is defined in ETSIspecifications ETS 300 258 <strong>and</strong> ETS 300 259. Path replacement is asupplemental service that uses two lines, a primary line <strong>and</strong> an outboundline.QSIG ConsoleThe QSIG Console utility, qsig_con.exe, allows the user to makeconfiguration changes, adjust timer periods, enable lines, <strong>and</strong> generatelog files of the QSIG messages.For more information onQSIG Console, refer to“<strong>ISDN</strong> Console,”Chapter 14.QSIG logs are stored in the intv\dat directory <strong>and</strong> named qsiglog.dat.These logs are binary files that must be converted into text format withthe RD<strong>ISDN</strong> Reader Program.
