ThePrompt Response IVR supports the Cornet N protocol as a genericserver.Cornet N resides as part of the ISDN layer 3 protocol (the messagelayer), and performs the following:• Validates requests from the application layer.• Initiates remote transfer and returns the results to the TelephonyServices Gateway.• Queries information from the ACD and returns the response to theTelephony Services Gateway.• Passes the Server Returned Value (SRV) with disconnect messagesto effect ACD routing.• Provides call characteristics as unsolicited messages to theTelephony Services Gateway.• Sends a special message to the Telephony Services Gateway whenthe call is cleared.13-2 ISDN Protocol Administrator’s and Developer’s Guide 60001262, First Edition
