Glare exists when an OmviaMedia Server tries to place an outbound call at the same time thatthe switch tries to place an inbound call.Normally, systems hunt for lines on which to process transactions.Switches normally hunt from lowest to highest channel. The OmviaMedia Server hunts from highest to lowest channel. When the twohunts collide, glare occurs. The[ISDNNumNonNegotiableChannels] entry reserves the specifiednumber of B Channels as non-negotiable, meaning they cannot beused for another purpose.[ISDNNumNonNegotiableChannels]1 ; Span number1 ; Number of non-negotiable channels2 ; Span number1 ; Number of non-negotiable channelsThe preferred/exclusive flag should be marked exclusive when theservice provider is provisioning the spans on the switch duringconfiguration.
