Call DiversionFor more informationabout SupplementaryInformation String (SIS)identifiers in DPNSS 1,refer to Table 6-3 onpage 6-10.In call diversion, the Omvia Media Server makes a request to the PBXto take back the call and then divert it to another number. Call diversionacts as a single line transfer, and the call can be automaticallyreconnected if the diversion fails. The “Original Called Number” is anoptional parameter that can be used.Call diversion occurs when two end-to-end messages (EEM) are sentfrom the Omvia Media Server to the switch. The first message containsa State of Destination Free (SOD-F) SIS identifier and a RedirectionControl (RDC) SIS identifier with no parameters.The first message instructs the PBX to grab the call and classify theOmvia Media Server as idle. The second message contains a Divert onNo Reply (DVT-R) SIS identifier and its accompanying Addressparameter. The Address parameter is passed from the InVisionapplication.The characteristics of Call Diversion call transfer are shown inTable 3-7.Table 3-7. Ituses ROSE encoding and object identifiers for its varioussupplementary services. While the identifiers can be coded fromstandards produced by ISO, ECMA, or ETSI, the Intervoiceimplementation uses ETSI standards.The call control is defined in ETSI specifications EN 300 171 and EN300 172. The switch type is defined in the configuration file, sincevarious switch vendors may vary in their methods of implementation.The Path-replacement type of call transfer is defined in ETSIspecifications ETS 300 258 and ETS 300 259. Path replacement is asupplemental service that uses two lines, a primary line and an outboundline.Once a switch has accepted the transfer request, both calls are connectedat the switch and the Omvia Media Server releases both B channels.The characteristics of Path-replacement call transfer are shown inTable 3-8.Table 3-8.
