Running <strong>ISDN</strong> Back to Back Between Omvia Media ServersRunning <strong>ISDN</strong> Back to Back Between Omvia MediaServersIf a loopback from span 1 to span 2 is needed, then span 1 should be setto DCE, <strong>and</strong> span 2 should be set to DTE.To set up loopback:1 Press to return to the <strong>ISDN</strong> Console General Menu.2 Enter 7 to select Operator Functions.3 Enter 2 to select Layer 2 Release Request. This sends a Disconnectto the D Channel to release it.4 Enter 5 to select Span number.5 Enter 1 to set the service state option. If a link is manually stopped,enable its service state before restarting the link.6 To enable a link that has been manually stopped, return to step 3<strong>and</strong> enter 1 Layer 2 Establish Request. This sends a SABME orSABMEs. The number could vary by the speed with which UAmessages are received.7 Press to exit the Operator Menu <strong>and</strong> return to the GeneralMenu.8 Enter 4 (I/O Log) to switch over to the log screen.9 Press the up arrow to set Display Trace Enable.10 Press to display the RR logging information.11 Check for a UA or DM for the last SABME sent out.12 If there is no UA or DM, stop <strong>ISDN</strong>_CON <strong>and</strong> HHTEST.13 Restart the testing from step 1 on page 14-34.14 If reloading HHTEST does not help, contact <strong>Intervoice</strong> technicalsupport.60001262, First Edition <strong>ISDN</strong> Console 14-35
