ISDN_DPNS_GET_DIVERSION_INFOUse the ISDN_DPNS_GET_DIVERSION_INFO subroutine to return theMode and Address diversions stored in the protocol module. Defining the DPNSS 1 SubroutinesControlled DiversionSample MessageA typical ISDN_DPNS_GET_DIVERSION_INFO message is shown below:The Mode is 2 and the Address is 8175515924Mode = 2 Address = 8175515924The Controlled Diversion supplementary service allows outbound callsthat encounter call diversion to let the call be diverted or to take controlof the call’s progress. Calls encounter diversion when they are placed tonumbers that meet one of these criteria:• Immediate (Number has been forwarded to another number)• Busy (Line is active)• Ring No Answer (Call is not answered)Controlled Diversion allows the origin of the calls to be informed ifdiversion occurs. The calling party can then decide whether to proceedwith the diversion or take another action.Upon receiving notification of diversion, the originating party can takeone of three actions:• Allow the call to be diverted• Clear the call (release the line)• Allow the call to use one of the following functions:– Immediate – Bypass the diversion of the call if the calledextension is free, or invoke another Supplementary Service forcompleting the call if the extension is busy. (For example, CallBack When Free, Call Offer, or Intrusion)– Busy – Invoke another Supplementary Service for completingthe call if the extension is busy (for example, Call Back WhenFree, Call Offer, Intrusion)– No Reply – Continue to Ring the originally-dialed extensionThe following toolkit calls are available for controlled diversion in anInVision application:• ISDN_DPNS_ACTIVATE_CONTROLLED_DIVERSION (see page 6-44)• ISDN_DPNS_DEACTIVATE_CONTROLLED_DIVERSION (seepage 6-46)60001262, First Edition DPNSS 1 Protocol 6-43
