In addition, 59% of children whose family’s income source wasa benefit had scores of four or more (Figure 10). When broken down by individual item,those children who scored four or more on the composite deprivation index had muchhigher exposures to household economising behaviours such as having to wear worn outshoes or clothing, sharing a bed or bedroom, cutting back on fresh fruit and vegetablesand postponing doctors visits because of cost (Table 2).Figure 10.
