Provision by area71. The area summaries provided below cover the period up to 2011.Eastern72. The amount of provision in the Eastern area appears to just meet the needs ofits own residents. However the list of senior pitches includes the single pitchsites at Redhills Road (Abbey Hulton Utd) and Abbey Lane Ground (HanleyTown), in addition to a single pitch at Holden Lane WMC. The site at Holdcroft Road was previously identified as having one each ofsenior, junior and mini pitches, but now appears to only have a single seniorpitch. The site has no changing provision but the senior pitch quality isreasonable as it has had drainage works. The site is managed by the localresidents association and is currently under consideration for development.Detailed negotiations have been undertaken with Sport England in relation tothe development of this site. A number of options are being developed whichwill see the three replacement pitches being located in the locality, subject toSport England's approval.
