This role may increase to a full time position in phase two. However, theprecise staffing requirement <strong>of</strong> phase two will need to be reviewed in light <strong>of</strong> theoutcomes <strong>of</strong> phase one.Role:• Planning <strong>and</strong> managing the development <strong>of</strong> technology-enabled remoteinterpreting services• Overseeing pilots <strong>of</strong> new technology• Liaising with other SLI service providers• Contributing to the training <strong>of</strong> interpreters <strong>and</strong> service users, in the use <strong>of</strong> thenew technology• Promoting the new remote interpreting service<strong>Review</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sign</strong> <strong>Language</strong> <strong>Interpretation</strong> <strong><strong>Service</strong>s</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Service</strong> Requirements in Irel<strong>and</strong> • page 125
