• Project: Building of parking lots<br />

Survey of terrains, planning and building of parking lots in RMNP. The first stage of<br />

the Project envisions building parking facilities at Brichebor and Bachkova Cheshma<br />

localities, as a step towards re-distributing and deflecting vehicular traffic from the<br />

area around the <strong>Monastery</strong>.<br />

At the second stage, more parking facilities are to be built at the Kravarski Dol,<br />

Obedishte, and Kirilova Polyana localities and at the former railway station.<br />

2.7.5 Program for maintenance and improvement of the available, and for<br />

construction of new social infrastructure<br />

• Project: Assessment and measures for improvement of the available social<br />

infrastructure<br />

An overall assessment of the state and condition of all sites and facilities making up<br />

the <strong>Park</strong>’s infrastructure, classification thereof in terms of the usability and<br />

operational load, and proposal of concrete measures for improvement of the facilities<br />

in each category. The project includes assessment and concrete proposals of the<br />

existing buildings’ purpose and use, and changes for park administration needs in<br />

conducting its obligations to reach educational and scientific goals.<br />

These may include activities pertinent to:<br />

- overhaul and renovation of Ribni Ezera chalet and Kobilino Branishte tourist<br />

shelter;<br />

- overhaul and renovation of Kravarski Dol camping site;<br />

- first aid equipment at the appropriate place at Kirilova poliana and Brichebor;<br />

- removal of disused or abandoned buildings and reclamation of the terrains.<br />

• Project: Building of an eco-chalet at Bukovo Bardo locality<br />

Survey of the terrain, planning and building of a small eco-chalet at Bukovo Bardo<br />

locality. The facility is to have a maximum capacity of no more than 30 beds, and will<br />

offer quality accommodation and a wide range of tourism services in conditions of<br />

seclusion, privacy and direct contact with nature.<br />

• Project: Closing of the entrances to mining tunnels<br />

The Project envisions securing with iron bars and wire mesh all entrances to tunnels<br />

used in the past for mining surveys, in order to prevent visitors from entering them.<br />

2.7.6 Public relations program<br />

• Project: A system of signs, symbols and markings<br />

The Project envisions designing a unified system of signs, symbols, markings and<br />

recurring common elements of the <strong>Park</strong> design (uniforms, car and van liveries, etc.) in<br />

order to create an identifying common image for the <strong>Park</strong>.<br />
