Millionsof copies of the Bible have been circulated withinthe thirty years past, where thousands only had beencirculated before. "Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold,there stood other two, the one on this side of' thebank of the river, and the other on that side ofthe bankof the river, and said to the man clothed in linen, whichwasupon the waters of the river, How long shall it beto the end of these wonders? "Here Daniel saw thetwo holy ones inquiring of the man clothed in linen,which stood the waters of the river. This man isthe same as iiipon ichael standing up for the children of thypeople. The reason I assign ls, he is clothed in linen,which shows he is thehigh for the people ofGod. It is the same ange t John describes, Rev.x. 1-6. This angel is represented as being the messengerof the covenant, b having a rainbowon his head.He was clothed with a chiud pure and white like linen.He, too, had a little book open, showing what he shoulddo,atgireeing with our explanation, spreading the gospelfor e last time through the world, standing onefoot on the sea, and the other on the earth, to keepdown the power of anti-Christ, who sits on many watersRev. xvii. 1, 15, and the power ofthe kings ofthe earth,until the whole elect should be sealed. And that this Angel is the Mediator is evident.And now he closes up the mediatorialkinggiom, whenhe says, Rev. x. 6, "That there should e time nolonger," or, as some translate it, that there should he nolonger delay, which must of course have one of twomeanings-either God will no longer delay his judgment,or he will nolonger wait to be gracious.
