There is none of you soblind, but you see that this passage does actually describethe most fashionable preaching at the present day.How many thousand do run after that kind ofwhich is only relating fables, and that doctrine preaching whicgives all power to man ?7. A right understandi of thistext would show us, at once, that many of us, :go fancywe are in the highway to heaven, are belonging to thisclass of scoffers. First, they walk alter their own lusts ,that is, after their own camal notions concerning thecoming of Christ. They say all things will continue althey were from the creation; they must have a temporalmillennium; man must be married and given in marriage;the world will not be burnt, and, My Lord delayethhis coming, some sax a. thousand years, and some say365,000 years, and all e moral change that takes placeon our earth, will be performed by the agency of manaTherefore, many scoff and ridicule the idea, that Scrip-
