'1'hat he has given rules, isvery evident in his answer to his disciples, when theyasked himconcerniné his parables. Mark iv. 13, "Andhe said unto them, now ye not this parable? How,then, will ye know all Thatpa.rables?" is, if ye understandhow I explain this parable, you will know how toexplain all others; but if you do not understand how Iexplain this, you cannot explain all others." Christ made all the prominent "parts of a parableligures; such as the sewer, Son man; good need,children of the kingdom; tons, children of the wickedone; harvest, end of the world; 1-capers, the angels; "as,therefore, the tares aregathered and burned, so shallit he in the end of the world," &,c.
