EXECUTIVE SUMMARY<br />
1. High level <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Edinburgh</strong> statement about Accessible Learning to be<br />
incorporated in websites <strong>and</strong> documents.<br />
2. the need to emphasise that Accessible Learning impacts across the <strong>University</strong> in both<br />
academic <strong>and</strong> administrative contexts.<br />
3. that staff development activity associated with Accessible Learning feature<br />
prominently across academic session 2011-12 at all levels <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong>.<br />
4. that two small work packages are supported; the first seeking to update existing<br />
teachability resources; the second to update the manual for the ‘Management for<br />
adjustments to academic processes for disabled students’.<br />
5. that the revised remit <strong>of</strong> Coordinator <strong>of</strong> Accessible Learning <strong>and</strong> Coordinator <strong>of</strong><br />
Adjustments be implemented across all Schools<br />
6. that the key areas <strong>of</strong> focus identified in section 2 be developed further with appropriate<br />
members <strong>of</strong> staff at <strong>University</strong>, College <strong>and</strong> School level.<br />
7. that Senatus Learning <strong>and</strong> Teaching Committee review assessment pr<strong>of</strong>iles in line<br />
with Accessible Learning principles.<br />
8. that Senatus Curriculum <strong>and</strong> Student Progression Committee review course <strong>and</strong><br />
programme design processes with Accessible Learning principles in mind.<br />
9. that Senatus Quality Assurance Committee assists all Colleges <strong>and</strong> Schools to<br />
undertake annual Accessible Learning review on a thematic <strong>and</strong> cyclical basis.<br />
10. that <strong>University</strong>, College <strong>and</strong> School websites prominently feature Accessible Learning<br />
