I have suggested to the admission people that perhaps they could add in some additional wording to echo the<br />

<strong>University</strong> message in the prospectus that the College encourages applications from disabled students to further<br />

demonstrate adherence to QAA precept no 7.<br />

Admissions could comment further, but the Disability Office works with Admissions to ensure that prospective<br />

students are encourage to disclose their impairments <strong>and</strong> liaise with this service at the earliest opportunity to<br />

ensure that support is in place.<br />

Registry- Enrolment/Registration could be taken under the general heading <strong>of</strong> Matriculation. Induction is<br />

slightly different <strong>and</strong> doesn't really involve Registry as it's a university wide activity.<br />

Meeting the entitlements <strong>of</strong> disabled students: When required we can tailor any element <strong>of</strong> the matriculation<br />

process on an individual basis to meet the specific needs <strong>of</strong> disabled students.<br />

There is information on this issue in section 12 <strong>of</strong> the degree programme specification template <strong>and</strong> guidance,<br />

which are produced for each degree programme. This was included in the last revision in December 2010 so as<br />

programmes are revalidated, <strong>and</strong> new DPSs produced, this information will be included. Please see:<br />
